Product Description
The Topnotch 2 Bay – 8 Bodies Non-Standard Mobile Storage Compactor is a heavy-duty, space-saving record storage solution designed for banks, hospitals, corporates, PSUs, and government institutions.
Built with premium CRCA Steel (0.8 mm IS 513 D-Grade, TATA/JSW sourced) and finished with epoxy polyester powder coating (40–70 microns), this system delivers long-lasting durability, rust resistance, and a professional finish.
This configuration (SFF-1 + DFM-1 + SFM-1 per bay × 2 bays) results in 8 bodies total, with each cabinet offering 5 adjustable/removable shelves and 6 compartments. Altogether, the system provides 48 compartments, capable of storing thousands of files, box files, or ledgers in a compact footprint.
The mechanical drive system (chain & sprocket with CI wheels and pedestal bearings) ensures smooth, effortless movement, while built-in safety features (anti-topple, anti-skid strips, vibration-free rails) protect both the system and the stored documents.

Comparison Guide: 2 Bay – 8 Cabinet Standard vs. 2 Bay – 8 Cabinet Non-Standard vs. 8 Normal Almirahs
Introduction
In today’s world, organizations face increasing storage demands. Banks, corporates, hospitals, universities, and government offices all deal with thousands of files, registers, and records every year.
The traditional method of storage — metal almirahs — is no longer sufficient. They consume more floor space, offer limited capacity, require multiple aisles, and lack centralized security.
Modern Mobile Storage Compactors solve these challenges by:
-
Reducing floor space requirements by 60–70%.
-
Offering centralized locking for enhanced security.
-
Providing 2–3× more capacity in the same footprint.
In this comparison, we evaluate:
-
2 Bay – 8 Cabinets Standard Compactor (2120 × 915 × 450 mm)
-
2 Bay – 8 Cabinets Non-Standard Compactor (2505 × 1180 × 450 mm)
-
8 Normal Almirahs (~2000 × 900 × 450 mm each)
Dimensions & Design
| Model | Per Cabinet Size | Total Cabinets | Compartments per Body | Total Compartments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Bay – 8 Std Compactor | 2120 × 915 × 450 mm | 8 | 5 | 40 |
| 2 Bay – 8 Non-Std Compactor | 2505 × 1180 × 450 mm | 8 | 6 | 48 |
| 8 Normal Almirahs | ~2000 × 900 × 450 mm | 8 | 4 | 32 |
Takeaway:
-
Non-Standard Compactor → Taller + wider = 48 compartments.
-
Standard Compactor → Slimmer, less height, 40 compartments.
-
Almirahs → Only 32 compartments, lowest efficiency.
