Product Description
The Topnotch 3 Bay – 12 Bodies Non-Standard Mobile Storage Compactor is engineered for maximum storage density in offices, banks, universities, hospitals, PSUs, and government record rooms. With taller 2505 mm cabinets and wider 1180 mm bodies, this model provides 30–40% more capacity compared to standard compactors.
Constructed with 0.8 mm CRCA steel (IS 513 D-Grade, TATA/JSW sourced) and mounted on a 3.15 mm HR steel base frame, the compactor is built for heavy-duty performance. Each cabinet includes 5 adjustable/removable shelves, giving 6 compartments per body. With 12 bodies total, the system delivers 72 compartments, suitable for storing thousands of files, ledgers, or box files in a compact footprint.
The mechanical chain & sprocket drive ensures smooth, effortless movement even under full load. Additional safety is ensured through anti-topple design, anti-skid rails, vibration-free operation, and centralized locking.

Comparison Guide: 3 Bay – 12 Cabinet Standard vs. 3 Bay – 12 Cabinet Non-Standard vs. 12 Almirahs
Introduction
Every growing organization — from banks and hospitals to universities and government departments — faces the same challenge: storing thousands of files in a limited floor area while ensuring security, easy access, and durability.
Traditional storage methods like metal almirahs are inefficient:
-
They require multiple aisles.
-
Security is weak with individual locks.
-
Lifespan is limited to 7–10 years.
Modern Mobile Storage Compactors solve these issues. By moving on rails and using a single working aisle, they save 60–70% floor space, provide centralized locking, and last 15–20 years.
In this comparison, we analyze:
-
3 Bay – 12 Cabinets Standard Compactor (2120 × 915 mm)
-
3 Bay – 12 Cabinets Non-Standard Compactor (2505 × 1180 mm)
-
12 Normal Almirahs (~2000 × 900 mm)
Dimensions & Design
Model | Cabinet Size | Total Cabinets | Compartments/Body | Total Compartments |
---|---|---|---|---|
3 Bay – 12 Std Compactor | 2120 × 915 × 450 mm | 12 | 5 | 60 |
3 Bay – 12 Non-Std Compactor | 2505 × 1180 × 450 mm | 12 | 6 | 72 |
12 Almirahs | ~2000 × 900 × 450 mm | 12 | 4 | 48 |
Takeaway:
-
Non-Standard Compactor has taller & wider cabinets → 72 compartments.
-
Standard Compactor → 60 compartments.
-
Almirahs → Only 48 compartments, least efficient.
Storage Capacity
Thin Office Files (30–40 mm spine)
-
3 Bay – 12 Std:
20–25 × 5 shelves × 12 = 1200–1500 files -
3 Bay – 12 Non-Std:
25–32 × 5 shelves × 12 = 1800–2300 files -
12 Almirahs:
18–20 × 4 shelves × 12 = 864–960 files
Box Files (75–80 mm spine)
-
3 Bay – 12 Std:
11–13 × 5 shelves × 12 = 660–780 box files -
3 Bay – 12 Non-Std:
14–16 × 5 shelves × 12 = 840–960 box files -
12 Almirahs:
10–12 × 4 shelves × 12 = 480–576 box files
Ledgers & Registers (50–70 mm spine)
-
3 Bay – 12 Std:
15–18 × 5 shelves × 12 = 900–1080 ledgers -
3 Bay – 12 Non-Std:
18–20 × 5 shelves × 12 = 1080–1200 ledgers -
12 Almirahs:
12–15 × 4 shelves × 12 = 576–720 ledgers

Takeaway:
-
Non-Standard Compactor has 2.5× more storage than almirahs.
-
Standard Compactor nearly doubles almirah capacity.
Load Handling
-
3 Bay – 12 Std:
60 shelves × 60–70 Kg = 3.6–4.2 tonnes -
